MARINE WORKERS

The Marine Electrician covers all phases of shipboard, ship support services, barges, sea platforms, small boat and shipyard electrical and electronic wiring and their related equipments. 

The range of ships and boats covered are Navy Air Craft Carriers to small tug boats and privately owned yachts. 

Journeyman Marine Electrician status can be attained through Apprentice Programs or on the

job training with years of service and successfully passing the Local Union Marine Journeyman test.  There currently are no requirements for state licensing for marine electrical workers.
